From the time I was five, this has been one of my favorite fruits. We lived in CA and our neighbor had a tree and I loved picking the fruit. It was so hard to open as a child and to get the seeds out. As I have aged it has become fairly easy to enjoy this fruit. I guess that is a symbol that I have grown in strength and hopefully, readiness to enter God’s presence. Thank you for this wonderful article.
