Tresta's Homeschool Story

Tresta Neil

As a child, Tresta believed the words “you’re stupid” and when she barely graduated High School she thought she had her proof. After graduating college with two degrees she still felt unintelligent. When her husband asked her to homeschool their four small children she panicked, how could she teach them?  what if it wasn’t enough? She could ruin them! She found a wonderful mentor to guide her. She spent the next several years in a small basement apartment hiding from the world and teaching her children in secret. During that time she discovered how to learn and how to make connections between the mind and the heart by focusing on Christ and His language of symbolism.  Come, learn to connect more deeply with God, recognize your intelligence, and experience the joy of seeing the light of understanding move from your children’s minds to their hearts.

Tresta is the co-creator of Keystone Education and co-directs the Called to Learn Conference with her amazing husband, Thom. She is the author of “God Saw That It Was Good,” “The Theology Tree” and “The Key Pattern of Learning.” She is a sought-after speaker, teaches online classes, and mentors as her mentor taught her on life skills, family relationships, systems, and homeschooling.

The Effects of Hebrew Principles

Greek and Hebrew methodologies are buzzwords within the education and political world lately. The United States was founded on the Greek language, Roman laws, and Hebrew religion. When we took the Bible out of schools our education philosophy changed from Hebrew based to Greek-based methods. Others can tell you the exact history, how it happened, and the results. I want to show you the difference between the two methods and give you practical ways to return to our roots by using the Hebrew method.

God is in Charge

“I want out!” was Tresta’s reaction to being a young mother and her husband’s request to homeschool. Learn the five ways she discovered that made all the difference. Learn how keeping a record of what they did in homeschooling becomes a book of remembrance and great joy to yourself and your children.  Learn some specific words and practices to help strengthen your relationships and to help you remember that God can make your homeschool experience better than you can.

Math Myths

Math is a testimony that God is trustworthy. We count on the answers to math problems to always be the same. Mankind changes the signs and symbols of math, but God holds it all together and keeps it constant. We can rely on him. Remember every time you do a math problem it is a testimony that God can be trusted. 🙂
